There was a time when mere mention of The Kaputniks would send a shiver through corridors of power on both sides of the iron curtain, such was their capacity for clandestine intrigue and subterfuge. Now, many years later, they’ve emerged from the shadows to tell their story.
From their self-imposed exile in Canada, they have become purveyors of an intoxicating instrumental mix of reverb and twang and backbeat. While swearing off vocals as a petty bourgeois affectation, The Kaputniks are letting no tone go uncovered in their search for the people’s truth. Though the world may no longer shake at the sound of their name, it soon will to the sound of their music.
The Kaputniks are:
Paul Kaputnik – Guitar, Organ
Jeremy Liberty – Bass
Steve Belliveau - Drums
