After a long break, The Neptunas are back! And their first impulse? Travel to Mexico City to record a new album. And why not? With Daddy-O Grande from Los Straitjackets producing how can they lose?
This new Neptunas record is by no means a document of “innocence lost.” The same primitive appeal The Neptunas displayed in the past is still 100% intact in the present. In other words, THEY STILL GOT IT.
What can be said about this album? The compositions, the performances and the production are all top-notch and Daddy-O Grande’s idea of bringing in a mariachi horn section is pure genius. Viva Las Neptunas! - Ben Vaughn

The Volcanics, one of Southern California's top surf n' stomp combos, is back with their third full-length release! This disc is a tribute to the place they've called home as a band since the beginning, hitting the garage where they first picked up their instruments and have recorded all three of their albums, and delivering a set of tunes (all written by the band, with help and inspiration from friends and past band members), that goes right back to the roots of surf music. Lots of reverb, twang and crashing, pounding rhythms can be found on this disc, which has a few vocals, but is mostly instrumental surf.
Tracks: Mad Dog - Test Flight - Laguna - Play That Song - Bullseye - Geronimo - Stampede - Fool Around - Twilight - Vesuvian - Calvary Call - She's My Surfer Girl - The Sabotage
After the runaway success of their debut CD, "Girls Girls Girls", they have followed it up with a set of songs that are even catchier. Wild rhythms and reverb-drenched guitars abound on this 12 track CD.
Tracks: Kanack Attack - Lonely One - Keg Party - High Altitude - Green Room - Del Rey - Moonlight Serenade - It's Alright - Superior - Trick Shot - The Baron - Moonlight Vocal (Featuring Gina Georgette Salas)
Comin’ out like a twisted hybrid of Influences from Surf/Western/garage/blues and even hip hop like Wu Tang Clan and The Roots. Toro Jones’s sound owe a strong debt to the Sounds of the 50’s and 60’s. “Their sound has been described as a raucous & cinematic with its focus on hard driving guitar riffs.
