What is Altered State of Reverb?
Altered State of Reverb is an independent music label that releases original surf and garage music in the DIY spirit. Our goal is to unite the fans of surf music all over the world and create a catalog of releases that they will love. We already work with many great surf bands by marketing them via social media and creating custom content to accompany their releases.
Connected to primary focus is promoting the bands on our label. If we can get your band noticed, we all benefit. We focus on social media marketing and giving our bands an edge by helping them craft a concise and unified branding across their digital platforms to make them visually appealing for boost viewer interest/engagement.
The key to connecting all of this... our creative content services. We understand that marketing your band yourself is a job in itself, let alone learning various graphics programs to try to make your ideas a reality. We can help by creating graphic animations, videos, and more for use on social media platforms. We'll format your logo and look to branding that will match anywhere fans find you. Along with that, basic creative services like logos, album art, and tour posters are part of our agreement.
What Can you do to help?
Share... everywhere! Just share, retweet, tag, comment on everything and anything you like that us and our bands put on social media. It cannot possibly be understated how important it is for a small label to increase their reach. It is a free and easy way to help and it does in a big way.
Talk to your friends about the label and bands as you can. Play their music, add into your playlists and share those.
Buy and wear the T-Shirts we sell. If nothing else they can get you noticed and can be a great conversation starter!
Altered State of Reverb was created by Josh Graham in 2018 as a surf music fan page on Instagram. Since then it has expanded to include music releases, promotional work, and creative content creation.
When it began, Altered State of Reverb was just a way to connect with other fans and bands who enjoyed surf music like myself. I soon discovered an amazing community of friendly people sharing their love of all things surf music, rockabilly, appreciation for anything vintage 60s, tiki mugs, Hawaiian shirts, and all the other wonderful interests we share.
When newer surf bands started reaching out to me to say they appreciated what I was doing, I knew I was onto something. I was totally honored when established surf musicians that I listened to started following my account.
