After a long break, The Neptunas are back! And their first impulse? Travel to Mexico City to record a new album. And why not? With Daddy-O Grande from Los Straitjackets producing how can they lose?

This new Neptunas record is by no means a document of “innocence lost.” The same primitive appeal The Neptunas displayed in the past is still 100% intact in the present. In other words, THEY STILL GOT IT.

What can be said about this album? The compositions, the performances and the production are all top-notch and Daddy-O Grande’s idea of bringing in a mariachi horn section is pure genius. Viva Las Neptunas!

The first full length album from Spain’s Los Misterios, showcases organs that add the atmosphere of a B-movie, drums that take you to a more surfing terrain and the wild guitars flying freely between them. Added to all that are hints of almost novelty darkness and space adventure. It’s difficult not to dance to this incredible album.

Thank You

To be given the title of "Label of the Year" by one of surf music's pillars like Hunter King from Storm Surge of Reverb, is an incredible honor indeed.

2020 was a strange and difficult year for all of us. We had no shows to attend where we could see our friends and dance carefree. There was no band practices where just an idea, a chord progression and a hum could turn into a great song. We dealt with countless delays in the production of physical media. All this on top of the most important daily challenge of keeping our families and ourselves safe and healthy.

With that shared struggle in mind, Altered State of Reverb being given this title for 2020 is even more meaningful. If we brightened some bad days by giving a musical escape, that makes us smile! Thanks for letting us be a part of  this great family of surf.

There is still a long way to go until we can get to be how it was, but like a great song, we'll get there note by note.  See you soon!
